Ways to give to LVR

LVR could not function without donations. We have quite a few funds from which you can choose to give, including General Budget, Camperships, Memorials, Family Ministry Center, Capital Improvements, Silent Auction, Phonathon, Men’s Activities, and Women’s Ministry.

Set-up Recurring Donations

Recurring donations are amazing because they provide a level of certainty about the amount of money we can expect to receive for a given month. This helps us budget and make important decisions for camp.

Project Bold Families is a capital campaign to raise funds to expand our family ministry program, which will include building a new family center and cabin extensions.

Volunteer​​

We don’t know what we would do without all of the amazing people who volunteer to help with various things for us. Volunteers come on work weekends, when we are in need during the summer, and even for fundraising efforts in the off-season. They help with everything from maintenance around camp and serving in the kitchen to making phone calls for Phonathon and seeking item donations for the Silent Auction. If you want to be more involved in this kind of giving, please contact us today.

Organize a Service Project

In the past, LVR has had many groups come out to help with various projects around camp. These groups get to stay and eat for free while they are there working and they also get to do a few activities in between projects. Youth groups, church groups, and groups of friends and family should contact us to give in this way.

Tell Others About Us

Word of mouth is free advertising for us and works well! You already have people who trust you, your opinions, and experiences. If you or your family have been impacted by LVR, spread the word and help grow our programs!

Be a Representative for LVR at Your Church

You are already integrated into your church community and can help LVR by representing us within this setting. This would mainly involve passing along communications and information about programs and retreats to members or the administrative team and pastors. The relationships you have already cultivated within your church can help LVR establish a presence there as well.

Thrivent Action Teams

Eligible Thrivent members can apply to lead a volunteer team in a fundraiser, service activity, or educational event that can be completed within 120 days. Many gracious Thrivent members have used this amazing benefit to support fundraising and volunteer efforts led by LVR!

Tell us Your Testimony​

There are two different ways that you can help us in this way. The first is to give us a written testimony that we can post on the website. The second is to give us a video testimony for a compilation video of testimonies that we are trying to create. Testimonies can be about your own personal experience at LVR, a child’s experience at LVR, or changes/impacts that you have recognized in your child since returning from camp. The testimonies can be as short or as long as you want. If this is something you are interested in helping with, please contact Jolene.

ShopRaise​

This is an app that you can use to do much of your online shopping! Shop your favorite stores through this app and a percentage of what you spend will be donated to the charity of your choice!

King Soopers Community Rewards​

This program makes fundraising easy by donating to local organizations based on the shopping you do every day. Once you link your card to an organization, all you must do is use your Shopper’s Card while shopping at King Soopers! Learn more about how to choose LVR as the organization you wish to support.

Thrivent Choice Dollars

The Thrivent Choice® program encourages benefit members to recommend where Thrivent Financial distributes an amount of its charitable grant funds. Members make this recommendation by directing Choice Dollars to enrolled nonprofit organizations. LVR is enrolled in this program.
