What is Project bold families?
Project Bold Families is a capital campaign to raise funds to expand our family ministry program, which will include building six-duplex-style family centered accommodations.
why?
For more than 60 years, LVR has used a focus on ministry during family camp to tell people about Jesus. However, the current site at LVR limit outreach to families, especially during the summer months. The family ministry program at LVR would greatly benefit from upgrades and we’re looking to you for help.
how?
The first proposed project is 6 family style cabins. This site will help expand LVR’s family ministry by providing a combined 12,240 sq to hold an additional 48 people and as many as 12 families at one time throughout the year.
Additional projects will include:
- Construction of bunkhouse extensions to better serve summer camp and retreat participants.
- Additional equipment for program and maintenance.
- Startup funds to hire a Family Ministry Director. The plan is for the position to become self-funding once additional and expanded
facilities are available for occupancy. - Startup funding to hire a Director of Development. This person will lead campaign, endowment, and annual fund programs to build and sustain financial capacity for LVR to become self-sustaining.
How can you help?
- Pledge or Donate! All donations will help us reach our goal of $3,040,000. You can also pledge a specific amount to pay out over a longer period of time.
- Be an Advocate! We need people to spread the word and you can help! Talk to everyone you know about LVR, our goals, and this campaign and encourage them to donate or make a pledge.
- Pray! Please pray for God to provide the funding necessary for this endeavor at LVR!

Bunkhouse Add-on's
A big part of this dream project has always been to add plumbing to our current cabins on base camp, making them more accessible to all our visitors.
While our current capital campaign only accounts for 1 cabin to get the add-on (pictured left), if the Lord provides, we would love to add this construction to all 8 cabins.
Not only would this attachment keep campers from walking to Moose Manor late at night, but it would improve our disabled campers time at LVR as well as our adult guest.
